LandscapeHub is a B2B online marketplace in the commercial landscaping space. We are a growing technology startup, founded in 2017, with a tight-knit and hard-working team of green industry and technology professionals striving to make a real impact for landscape buyers and suppliers. We believe that with the power of technology and data we can revolutionize this 100 billion dollar industry, and we’re looking for new team members aligned with our mission and ready to plunge in head first. 

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to assist with testing and delivering products to our end users.  You’ll get to see the latest product features first and you’ll make sure that when our users see them that they work correctly.  You’ll be helping move our platform (www.landscapehub.com) forward. This is a new role that will report to our CTO/co-founder.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Actively participate in an agile software development team that is creatively building solutions that solve real business problems.   You’ll work closely with engineering and product.
  • Our teams deliver software in short iterations.   You’ll work on testing those features for the upcoming iteration.  You’ll put yourself in the shoes of our external customers and internal teams and test the new features to make sure they work.  You’ll try to break the software, you’ll try it on mobile devices as well as on more traditional desktop browsers.
  • As you get to know the product deeper, you’ll give insight into areas of the site that need improvement.
  • You’ll be on the front line for bug reports from our users and internal teams.  You’ll document how to create the bug and identify the priority.   You’ll write the cards to repair the bug and place it appropriately in the work queue.
  • As you develop your skills, you’ll have the opportunity to test at the data layer.  We’ll teach you SQL and other skills necessary.

What we’re looking for:

  • Landscape Industry Experience required.  Experience in the back-office for these companies is a plus (operations, customer support etc).
  • Excel spreadsheet experience required
  • Very strong organizational skills required.  This is detailed work and you need to be able to stay organized.
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience as a data analyst or similar role is a plus
  • Willingness to wear many hats. Our product process is growing and we’ll want you to grow also (pun intended). You'll need to embrace learning and always be open to change.

As long as you’ve got a good internet connection, you can work where you want with this remote role. We’ve always had a mix of people remote and in-person, but our team is all remote currently. Eventually, you’ll have your choice of how you want to work: full-on remote, remote but with co-working space, come to our Chicago office full or part-time.
